He was transferred to Uluslararasi Endüstri ve Ticaret Bankasi (Interbank) as the Financial Control and Planning Manager in 1986. After the project trainings received, he had a very important role in the development of the bank and was also active in project of re-shaping the infrastructure of the bank. In this project, many projects about the organization, profitability, productivity evaluation and follow-up, increasing of these and reporting were also developed and realized.
In 1988, he was transferred to the 3 rd Private Bank in Turkey ; Pamukbank as the Ass. General Manager responsible from Financial and Administrative Affairs. During this duty, which he undertaken for 8 years, he founded an internal pricing system in the Budget Planning Department and introduced profit center approach and the follow-up system of this to the bank. He established MIS reporting system. He established Branch and Customer profitability analysis in the Financial Control Department and founded remote control systems. During the time Gerali was in charge, the restoration and decoration works of all branches suitable to the developing service range and quality of the Bank in Construction and Real Estate Department were completed in a very short time and with low cost with effective and scientific methods. During this period he also participated to “Effective Management”, “Team Work”, “Quality and Strategic Planning” trainings. He was in charge in the infrastructure foundation and development processes for the Social Activities Committee (SAKKO) of the Bank and for Pamukspor Culture and Sport Center as the member of the Board of Directors.
He was transferred to Garanti Bankasi, which was elected as the best bank in Europe for 4 years in a row by Euromoney to establish Financial Monitoring concept and system requested by the developing organization in 1996. After this organization was completed successfully he undertook the foundation and commissioning of Garanti Bankasi Operation Center , which was the highest point of productivity in contemporary organizations. During the same period, he received training at Dynargie Human Resources Management.
After completing his mission there, he was transferred to Tansas after the 2. Biggest Chain Market of Turkey was purchased by Dogus Group and he also acted as the Group Chairman responsible from growth and development and he realized a development and growth mission that is very unlike other developments all around the world and opened 130 new shops. Gerali, who also has an experience in reel sector acted as the Assistant General Manager responsible from Financial and Administrative Affairs and Technical Purchasing until his resignation in 2001.
He was the President of Vefa Sports Club between 1992-1996 and is also a member of Fenerbahçe Congress. He was among the founders of KARE in order to share his management experience of 28 years with other institutions. |
